Who is Impact 2818

Impact 2818 is a Christian Summer Camping Ministry in Northern Indiana with four great and unique camp sites:
• Pine Creek Camp
• Camp Lakewood
• Camp Adventure
• Epworth Forest Conference Center

We are Local Church Centered

At Impact 2818, we see camp as an extension of each church/body of believers. Camp is a place where campers can separate themselves from distractions, focus on God's Word, be challenged, excited and moved. We program so campers can have this as a shared experience. Their church leaders and friends can, and should, have this encounter with Christ together. Then, when they return home, they return together as a stronger, bonded group that will continue to grow and be encouraged in their home faith community.

aWe believe that as a camp, we are most effective when we partner with Christ centered churches to reach people for Jesus Christ.

aImpact 2818 is a ministry of the United Methodist Church for all people. We are missioned to make disciples for Jesus Christ.

Why Camp with Us

Our camps will give your camper an awesome experience where they will encounter God, explore their faith, overcome challenges, have a blast, and best of all, they will discover the hero that God made them to be.

During the summer of 2007, Impact 2818...

  • served over 3,100 campers.
  • 300 campers made first time commitments to Jesus Christ
  • 1,077 campers rededicated their lives to Christ

My Story: (a camper's point of view)

Two years ago, my friend Ella and I wanted to go to a summer camp. We wanted a camp we would enjoy and that would teach us more about God. We got much more then that when we attended Pine Creek Camp in 2006!!

We loved the singing and worshipping and the open talks we got with our counselors. But we could never forget the fun swing and rock climbing wall, and games and all the swimming and EVERYTHING. We got closer as friends, and as children of God. Ella and I would both like to say thank-you for the wonderful camp experience! :]

Love,
Madison

My Story: (from an adult's eyes)

I have been a camp counsler for elementary and Jr & Sr high youth. I think our camping ministry is one of the greatest opportunities for youth to experience spiritual growth with peers and leaders who make all of these camps a wonderful life changing time; at a time when youth are often struggling to find their place in the world.

As a youth leader, one of the greatest things is to be able to hear youth tell their stories and look forward to revisiting camp year after year. Our church knows how powerful the camp experience is, and they help send campers who could not otherwise afford to go. I am uplifted by the amazing things that camp brings out in the youth, and in their passion for believing in and guiding others closer to Christ.
